Re: Sakho & Valencia - Reunited?
We clearly get from one end of the field to the other quicker and stretch sides better with these 2 playing and it's a real asset on the counter. But I would like to see more evidence of an actual partnership if they both stay in. I don't recall a passage of play last night where they linked up and ceated a worthwhile chance between them, when either of them was in a good position for it to happen the final ball wasn't there or the wrong decision was made. They also seemed to be playing too far away from each other, which goes somweway to explaining why they didn't link up too often. Hopefully that can be worked on.

Yes, although AC doesn't offer the same movement there is no need to pump it into the box so early and from the wrong angles. He would be far more dangerous from the ball cut back from the byline.

Which is a massive shame as I for one would love to see us play the same way with AC in the team.

I think the problem is we're being instructed to play differently when he is rather than players being tempted to.

Re: Sakho & Valencia - Reunited?
Great to see them back together with all the pace and movement that provides and the space that Downing gets as a result.

Replace one with AC and the mobility goes. Not that he is a bad player but his mere presence on the pitch changes to mentality from a quick pass and move to a lets find Andy's head.

Re: Sakho & Valencia - Reunited?
Sakho, Valencia, Song, Kouyate, Downing, and Noble together give us the most dynamic West Ham team I've ever witnessed. Once Reid or Collins returns, we will be a scary proposition for anyone, assuming Nolan is dropped and Carroll doesn't unseat anyone.

I realize what a massive assumption that is.

Re: Sakho & Valencia - Reunited?
Great to see these two back where they left off. Real handful for Man U today and unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. Carroll has a place in the squad and certainly would have helped defend the aerial ball at the end but these two just seem too good to not play together.

I'm just loving the fact we have 3 top strikers

Makes a change and allows the money to be spent elsewhere in the summer

Re: Sakho & Valencia - Reunited?
If we don't play them regularly it will be the biggest farce ever,
Chelsea will snatch them and they will become an unstoppable strike force, no doubt they would score about 10 past us.

Lets just enjoy it while it lass lads cos you know it will be business as usual when Carroll back. I sometimes wonder if allardyce has got a mental problem

S & V SO much better than Carroll and anyone else.

Valencia was superb for the first 70 minutes today, ran himself into the ground and look immeasurably better than he has alongside Carroll.

Re: Sakho & Valencia - Reunited?
Fucking miles better today. Although Carroll did better than Valencia recently, we just look a better team without him. The movement and pace causes sides more problems than lumping balls up to him.

It makes Nolan less annoying hanging around for a knock on too.

Re: Sakho & Valencia - Reunited?
Why does he keep accommodating Nolan...

I hear all this blabber about him being "Good in the dressing room"... When he was injured start of the season we played best football I have seen in years.

Ever since he has come back in and starting. W have gone from 4th (Deservedly, not by luck) to 8th possibly 9th in the space of a month...

I would like to know what he has done in the dressing room because his stats are awful. If he is good in the dressing room then make him a coach not a guaranteed starter?

Im more concerned where the oaf will play Downing. If he's on the wing to accomodate his secret love child then i cant see us getting anything from today's game.

Re: Sakho & Valencia - Reunited?
I'm hoping the reason why noone (dildo bros) have intervened and asked what the fuck he's doing is because they (and he) know he's gonna get fucked off at the end of the season - so just let him do what he likes. We ain't going own. That's the only logical explanation I can come up with.
